EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon baseball program's series against Omaha scheduled for Feb. 19-21 at PK Park has been canceled because of COVID-19 protocols.

Head coach Mark Wasikowski will address the media on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. during the previously scheduled media availability time.

In just his second pitch, Tanner Smith launched a home run off the right field roof to give Oregon an early 1-0 lead.  In the bottom of the second, the Pilots shot themselves in the foot on multiple occasions. OREGONIAN: Oregon baseball takes rubber game with Arizona State to take opening series of Pac-12 play

Oregon used some small ball to win its opening series of Pac-12 play. Tanner Smith, Aaron Zavala and Robby Ashford each had two hits in a 5-3 win for the No. 19 Ducks over Arizona State Sunday afternoon at PK Park. Arizona State (12-5, 1-2 Pac-12) struck first via an error and RBI single by Ethan Long. Kenyon Yovan hit an RBI double to get a run back in the bottom of the first and a passed ball allowed Gavin Grant to score and tie it in the third. Oregon (10-4, 2-1 Pac-12) loaded the bases in the fifth and sixth and scored a pair of runs via ground outs. Grant hit into a double play that allowed Ashford to score in the fifth and Sam Novitske reached on a fielder’s choice groundout that scored Yovan to make it 4-2 after six. Justin Fall allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits, a walk and hit batter ans truck out two over five innings for the Sun Devils.
